A little girl finds a tiny mermaid with a hurt tail. The little girl takes the mermaid to stay with her in her fish tank. The girl and the mermaid become friends and the little girl helps the mermaid return to the sea and her other mermaid friends.
Personal Reaction:
Cute story about a friendship and a mermaid. It was a little long but had good illustrations.
Extension Ideas:
1. Have children help create a classroom sea with fishes and mermaids with templates, cutouts, and blue clear wrap that can be put on the wall.
