In the Poe the Hunter, we get a new take on Edgar Allen Poe, a fantastic look into a life of him as a demon hunter, desperate to avenge the love of his life. When his journey partners him with another hunter by the name of Nathaniel, they find themselves plunged into a battle of dark forces.
The story is unpredictable, full of suspense on every turn. In the prologue alone, I was reminded of Supernatural, and that was thought had me hooked. The characters are richly described in appearance and personality and the time period was set well.
All in all, a unique paranormal read.
