This is the opposite of the opposites attract trope, and that is what I loved best, although the nix's point of view was really well done, and a close second. I always appreciate a truly non-human protagonist. The nix's relationship to his water versus his struggle to connect on land was terrifically represented in lovely, vivid imagery. I loved this world, and the ending is just perfect. Go read it. :)

This is the most hilarious book I’ve ever read, hands down. It’s so effortlessly witty and one-of-a-kind, it’s just unbelievable! Ticked all the right boxes for me, too, and not only when it comes to humor. There was wicked strong chemistry between the two MCs, but somehow it managed not to overwhelm the (ridiculously funny!) plot. The writing’s excellent. I loved Pat’s narration, bad puns and all - I loved everything about him, really; Nick wasn’t too shabby (for a hoagie) either. I’m sure I was grinning like a crazy person when reading this.
Enjoyed the hell out of this one! I hope the author writes a sequel sometime in the future - I’d jump at the chance to read about their shenanigans again.… (altro)

Very fun ideas about the other side of Heroes vs Villians. Was very funny in spots but Spoiler Alert: There are graphic descriptions of Gay sex

OH MY GLOB I LOVED THIS BOOK! It never lets up! Protagonist Pat is bizarre and off-the-wall the entire way through and I am in abject awe of the author's ability to pull off this feat of story-telling! GO READ IT!
