Clearly a very important book dealing with popularization of important science discoveries of the 20th century.
Ist gedacht als locker geschriebene Einführung für den Laien - und beginnt auch dementsprechend. Irgendwo aber nach Seite 100 bin ich ausgestiegen: Zu verworren ist der ganze Zoo der Teilchenphysik. Vielleicht wäre es aus didaktischen Gründen besser gewesen, vorweg bereits einige Gliederungshilfen zu geben? - Soweit ich weiß hat sich ja inzwischen eine Teilung in drei Familien herauskristallisiert. Aber vielleicht tue ich Fritsch auch unrecht, das Buch stammt nämlich aus dem Jahre 1992. Allerdings wurde es - so steht es Buchdeckel - 1992 und 1999 aktualisiert.… (altro)
Imaginary conversations between three physicists: Haller, Einstein and Newton. Through the conversation and the questions asked and the answers given, the theories of relativity and gravity and time and space are explained in less opaque terms than you would hear in a science class. still a bit too heavy for me although somewhat enlightening. For someone who is actually into this stuff, I imagine it would be a very good read.
