This is a really sad but good book, we should all read this.

This is the story of Rudolf(Rudy) Vrba and how he and his fellow inmate Fred Wetzler 2 young Slovakian Jews, managed to escape from Auschwitz Concentration camp in 1944
They wanted to tell the World of all the atrocities and total devastation that the Nazis inflicted on the Jewish people.
The World didn't really listen to them though.

This story follows Rudy from his Childhood in the 1930s and all the horrible restrictions that the Jewish people had to endure.
To his time working in these Death camps and how he planned his escape.
Rudy had a near photographic memory and was able to recall how many people were executed.
This book also follows Rudi after the War and through his Career and Personal life.
Very well researched book and makes this horrible event to a new audience.

A fascinating read of a man's escape out of Auschwitz and his life afterwards. Not just an heroic tale but also about a flawed man, warts and all.

A very well written and engrossing book, Holocaust books often are for some reason. This one delivers. It will make an excellent movie, it has all the right elements. Walter Rosenberg is a hero against fascism, we need his inspiration now more than ever.

This is a good fast paced thriller.
Set in 1940 War time England.
Main character is James Zennor he is a young Oxford lecturer. His wife Florence and young son go to Yale to escape the war. Its a bit of a mercy mission, James is unaware of this and decides to go to America to be with his wife and 2 year old son.
He manages to get to Yale, a man who helps James is discovered murdered. The Dean of Yale is being a bit of a pain and knows a lot more than he is letting on. A young reporter agrees to help James, but she turns out to be the niece of the Dean.
Back home in the UK its looking like they might lose the war to Germany. USA is very reluctant to join in.
James uncovers a very sinister Eugenics programme that wants to have the best physical and cleverest people to make lots of clever babies.
The Dean had kidnapped Florence he wants her for himself. James is nearly murdered but he escapes, goes to Washington and uncovers what really is going on. There is some secret files that are also uncovered leaked from President Rooesvelt and Wintson Churchill. OK book.
