In this book you will read of all the funny things that grow instead of a beard. This book has great illustrations with easy to understand rhyming words. Some of the characters you will read about in this book are Ickey and Gooey, Stan the Man, and a mutt in a rut.
Personal Reaction:
This was a entertaining book. I read this book to a class of kindergartners and we all just loved it. The whole class including the adults were laughing. The children loved the illustrations this book had.
Classroom Extension Ideas:
I think the kids would like to make something up that comes out of a beard. It would be fun to see what the kids could come up with. After they decide what comes out of their beard, they could illustrate it.… (altro)
