This is THE book of books of modern art.

Any self respecting art lover, critic and artist should have it. It's a huge book worth reading and revisiting over and over again.

It's one of the most valuable books I own. Not because it's expensive, but because the knowledge it provides is phenomenal!!

This was a decent compendium of the history of art from 1900 to the relative present. I was entertained, educated, and interested in everything that was discussed. Although some of the topics were a bit beyond what I was knowledgeable about, I felt I learned a lot by reading this and am glad that I did. For art lovers and enthusiasts, I would recommend this book.

4 stars!

A fine companion to the art of the ages that, nevertheless, still manages to go into detail about the lives of the artists that surround them and the movements that were representing the artists themselves. I recommend this for people looking to get into art criticism who first want a wide lens to fill their view.

4 stars.
