As always with anthologies, there are revelations and disappointments. For me, Heather Birrell was a discovery with her camp story which I thoroughly enjoyed. The stories themselves are homogeneous (perhaps too much so): women's stories about women's issues, mostly love. They are all carefully crafted and provide food for thought. I however found that the anthology lacked much of Canada's diversity either through language or ethnicity.
