This is a book that will draw you in because of the character interactions. If you look too close at the plot events they will make sense, but will kind of run against the grain if you have a well set view of the nativity story. It does put the story into a frame historically and environmentally that makes sense.

Though I'm an atheist I loves me some re-told bible stories.

This one felt authentic enough and was a pleasant read. As religious fiction goes though, Anne Rice and OSC does it better.

But even so, if the author does more I'll certainly go along for the ride.

This was the first of 3 books I downloaded recently that are fictional accounts surrounding the history of Christ. I found them all to biblically sound, well written and did a good job of giving me historical and regional insights for my Old Testament readings.

One of my all time favorites. Wonderful story!
