Israel Finestein

Israel Finestein, born in Hull, graduated from Cambridge with a double first in history. He qualified as a barrister, practising at the Common Law bar, and became a Queen's Counsel and was appointed to the Bench. On his retirement he became a Crown Court Senior Judge. A founder of the Hillel Foundation, he is a former President of the Board of Deputies, the Jewish Historical Society, and Norwood Child Care.
