This was a nice piece of fluff with a lot of sex. I was confused at first thinking that Justin and Terry were 18 or 19 but when I found that they were 30 and still had not acted on their feelings I was shocked. I think that the story would have been more believable if the guys were younger.

Overall 2,5 stars (only rated stories count)

Bodywork by Ashe Barker - 2 stars
I didn't like this (sexual feats -which I hate as a rule-, timeline error and a weak conflict based on miscommunication), but I don't rule out entirely the author, there's something in her writing that I find interesting and worthy to give her more chances.

Breaking the Marine by M.K. Elliott - 3 stars
Nothing special to say. I liked it.

Love on Location by Lucy Felthouse - 2 stars
Three days to read this novella says it all. the conflict point is very weak and implausible in the present-day England

Landscapes by K D Grace - DNF
A clear case of "it's me, not you".

The Chase by Lily Harlem - 1.5 star
The riddles were boring. I prefer trios in which all the members have their feelings invested and I didn't like Carrick's smarty attitude neither the speech artificially porny during sex, like "Come, my gorgeous little sub, come for your Master." or " Open up, sub. You know you want it", ugh. The best were the gags from Carrick's perfomance in the beginning, without them I would give it barely 1 star.

Dish of the Day by Clare London - 3.5 stars
I truly enjoyed this, especially how different they are and how they complement each other so good.

E2 by Sarah Masters - 2 stars
Dystopic Alternate Universe. A relatively original scheme although very inconsistent in scientific terms; I know that it's fiction but that's not to say that I admit nonsensical facts without any internal logic and without some kind of explanation.

Locked Out by Josephine Myles - 3.5 stars.
Cute light story, with a perfectly measured children touch and very likeable main characters.

This gets a bit more credit than I would normally give for such a short insta-love kind of storyline because there is something really vulnerable about the writing (to me). This totally reads as a fantasy imagined by a chubby middle-aged woman (like myself) who is defending herself against Mean Girls-types that hyperbolicly represent the "death by a thousand cuts" that overweight womens' self-esteem experiences in this fat-phobic world. It is simultaneously super-sweet and super-smutty. Not really into the younger-guy thing and honestly don't for a single second believe in super built hot men who are shy like this, but ok. Cute, if painfully unrealistic.… (altro)

Most of the short stories I’ve read, listened to, and reviewed have been good. This is no exception, I knew it wouldn’t be going in. This isn’t the first Lucy Felthouse story I’ve reviewed. I’m a (new) fan of her work.

I loved every minute of this story. First and foremost, because it’s different. I thought I’d read so many romance stories that I could predict exactly how this would go. But I was wrong and that made it new and exciting. The characters have chemistry and it doesn’t feel ridiculously rushed like so many stories do. It takes its time, builds up to the payoff, and then it ends. Damn, why did it have to end/ I had temporarily forgotten it was a short story and I died a little inside when I heard the credits.

The summary (the Audible one at least) is exactly what you get. It gets in, tells its story, wraps things up nicely while leaving room for a follow-up. A follow-up I would totally read. These two are adorable together.

Aside from having to listen to the narrator mispronounce envelope several times, the narration is great. “Onvelope” isn’t a word and that will never stop annoying me. Envelope is envelop with an e on the end. Nobody says onvelop because that’s stupid.

NOTE: This copy was provided to me free of charge as a digital review copy. The opinions stated in this review are mine and mine alone, I was not paid or requested to give this book a certain rating, suggestion, or approval.
