Claire Caspian recently lost her husband to cancer. She now finds herself returning to her small desert town of Romeo, with her young son to settle in with her feisty Abuelita and continue her teaching as a professor in literature. I liked the small town feel of this story and the fact that not everyone has to have big city lights to be content and happy. I also liked the wisdom of Claire's grandmother (Abuelita). Two of her favorite "mantras" were: "In acceptance is peace," and "In trust is joy". She was a godly woman who helped Claire see how trusting in God can truly bring peace and joy to one's life, even in the midst of hard times and sorrow.… (altro)
