Holding Out di Anne O. Faulk
Very good. Funny, witty, somewhat risque in language and one sex scene

Fromie | 1 altra recensione | Nov 28, 2023 | This was a very good story. It was a story about an injustice and the creative way is was corrected. It was a story of male versus female. It was the story of the heroine Lauren Fontaine and how she got caught up in defending her gender against all the injustices men thrust upon women. How did she do it? Yep you guessed it. She and 1.8 million Women in the US held out! No sex for men until the alledge wife beater Judge Lawrence Underwood was brought to justice.
In a sense I felt that this was a sad story because the Author Anne O. Faulk certainly had a lot of material to work the injustices that men thrust upon women. Listen up guys! How bad has it gotten? Now when we tell our beautiful ladies how much we love and cherish them, they think we are kidding or we have a separate agenda. How sad is that? It was also sad in that when the main Character Lauren Fontaine initiates the sex strike nationwide, she and anyone associated with her were in for a lot of trouble.
The book does have a happy ending and it is pretty predictable. However, what I liked is the way author came to the ending. There are many twists and turns and the main character takes every advantage of the information she is given to win!
It was a fairly easy read. It read like watching a two hour TV drama. As a matter of fact, I started placing actors to the different characters. It is an exciting story at times and I highly recommend it to anyone to read.
