This is a really good anthology, for it presents accounts / stories from all different areas of (Canadian) climbing history. More so, however, because of the insightful and careful selection of authors. This is a collection of stories that pays respect not only to the climb / mountain / historical importance, but also to the style and language of the opiece itself. This, together with the highly useful (and in itself well-written) introductions to the various chapters as well as single stories, makes for highly rewarding reading. For readers like myself, mainly ignorant of the mountains / chains / summits / areas described, maps and pictures labeled on the page would have been a trear (more so than the glossary...)… (altro)
