Michael Cherney's acute sense of discernemtn enables him to choose elemets from traditional Chinese art that are suitable for his ideas and combine various media and methods to form bold experiments that express his impressions of life. Michael's art is a fusion of both traditional and modern, Eastern and Western; nonetheless, the work is in essence a manifestation of traditional Chinese art.
