The general view of librarians and library staff is that they are a dull lot, with no sense of humor. This is not true of my experience in libraries. There are plenty of us who love a laugh in the workroom & poke fun at everything from clients to managers. and have an occasional laugh at themselves too. One of the funniest cartoons in this collections shows a librarian at an information counter, with two patrons waiting for service -- a chicken and an egg. The librarian asks, "Who's first?"
