Giulia Enders was born in 1990 in Mannheim, Germany. She is a graduate of Goethe University in Frankfurt, Germany and is enrolled in their doctoral program in gastroenterology. Her talk, Charming Bowels, won first prize at the Science Slam in Freiburg, Berlin and Karlsruhe (2012).
