This book is great to have in the classroom because it tells kids how to use the Pythagorean theorem in a fun way. The book follows a young Pythagoras and how he uses math in his everyday life. I think many students will be engaged with this book because the main character is their age and relatable.

This picture book is about Pythagoras and his cousins trying to figure out how to play their instruments in tune. By doing this he figures out an important discovery about notes and figures it out through certain mathematical relationships. This is a good book for teachers to have in their classroom because it it a quick read, and shows how mathematics connects with music.

The story follows a young Pythagoras as he is confronted with problems with angles, such as the most direct sailing distance or figuring out how long a ladder needs to be, and his discovery of how to find the answer. The book is visually pleasing and fun to follow. This book is great to learn about angles and introduce Pythagorean theorem.

Pythagoras and the ratios is an informational fiction novel that follows Pythagoras and his cousins. They are going to a music festival, but they have to figure out how to tune their instruments. He realizes that the beautiful sounds have a relationship with mathematics. This book is great because it teaches the kids about ratios and how math works together with a lot of things that you might not expect.
