Customer review from the Amazon Vine Programme
I am reviewing the book, Every Breath You Take: How to Breathe Your Way to a Mindful Life, by Rose Elliot. Here are my thoughts:
^^ I've always been a fan of alternative healing and medicines, and have read and enjoyed Rose Elliot's vegetarian books before. Every Breath You Take: How to Breathe Your Way to a Mindful Life began as an idea that came from meeting with
a Buddhist monk and learning about breathing and mindfulness. Incidentally, there is actually another book Rose Elliot has written called 'I Met A Monk: 8 Weeks to Happiness, Freedom and Peace'.
^^ My review copy is a pocket-sized book, which is great to carry around and have on me at all times.
^^ Although, Rose is not a Buddhist herself, she definitely draws a lot from various teachings she has come across.
^^ Inside are several enjoyable exercises, with numerous tips and techniques to try on a daily basis. Great for relieving stress, clear calm thinking, and at one with yourself.
Overall: I love Rose Elliot and her views of how meditation and breathing can really help improve your life through relaxation techniques that are not only good for your mind but your body too.… (altro)
