This book is told in third person but uses dialogue of a soldier father speaking to his son. The book is told in rhyme. The father tells his son all about how when it is night in the United States it will be day where he will be so they can play catch by using the stars in the sky. This book is good to teach about concepts of time and how they are different in the world which makes communication difficult for military families, dialogue, stars, and rhyme. I love this book just because I connect with it. I love how the little boys dad is never too far away from him even though he is off serving his country. My dad is in the military and I went through the same thing the little boy did in this story. I think it sends a great message out to all the military families and especially to military children.
