Helen Keller's life story told very simplistically. The timeline that runs across the bottom page helps the reader keep track of the facts from previous pages. This short book has common core base critical thinking questions. The book is indexed and there is a reference to additional resources about Helen Keller. This book is apart of a collection of books about other Great Women in History.
Harriet Tubman escaped slavery by walking 90 miles to Pennsylvanian in 1849. She worried about her friends and family who were still enslaved, so she helped them escape using the Underground Railroad. Approximately 300 slaves were freed with the help of Tubman.
Overall, this book was under-stimulating. The timeline that develops at the bottom of each page is a nice touch, along with some authentic photographs of Tubman, but the short and simple facts about her were extremely dull for such a heroic women.… (altro)
