I really enjoyed reading this book! It had drama, intrigue and romance.
Vivian is an attorney for the State Department. She is recruited to be a member of an FBI task force after witnessing two ambassadors collapse. Jacob, a former SEAL is in charge of the events security. Through some situations he becomes Vivians bodyguard. They face many dangerous situations and find themselves beginning to care for each other. Read the book to find out more, you won't be disappointed.

I highly enjoyed "Backlash" and it was a wonderful introduction to Rachel Dylan for me!
I loved seeing a difference in how this suspense has several different agencies that are often only shown by themself in fiction.
I was somewhat lost for some things since this was the second book but I still enjoyed it very much.
Content: Mentions of sexual abuse, killing, and attempted killing among other things.
