An account in two volumes of two voyages to the… di Jules Sebastien Cesar Dumont D'Urville

Dumont d'Urville is a great character whose story and achievements deserve to be better known by Australians and New Zealanders in particular. His writing (and Helen Rosenman's introduction) reveals the complex human behind the explorer, scholar and husband/father. But I'm glad he's not my boss.
