Blue does not want to learn to fly and so he does not. He hitches rides with his friends. His friends leave him. Blue decides he will hitch a ride with an unsuspecting bird but discovers that is not a good idea and he has to save them both. Blue finds out he can do what he fears and it makes him independent.

This is a wonderful book for the little ones. It teaches them it is good to be independent. It also teaches that it is okay to be afraid but to try whatever anyway. Nice illustrations also.… (altro)

After fourteen years of marriage, forty year old Amanda has lost herself in the marriage, she doesn't know who she is anymore. Through the years she had given in and went along with everything that her husband Nick liked and wanted, somewhere along the way she had let herself go, but now that they are getting divorced Amanda knows what she doesn't like, and it's time to find herself again!

Traveling for Love is the charming story of one woman's journey of self-discovery while searching to find herself and true love. Author Becky Due weaves an engaging tale written in the first person narrative that follows Amanda's quest to find herself after her divorce.

Amanda's journey is filled with stepping stones of growth and independence that allows her to redefine and figure out who she is and what she wants in her life. As a full-time travel agent, Amanda's travels takes her to places that have new meaning in her life, and as a token of each place she visits, she gets a new necklace as a symbol of her new life. Along the way, Amanda dates men who provide a different aspect in her life that she wants and needs. Sam is her first post-divorce relationship, he's mysterious and intrigues Amanda, but it is a short-lived romance that didn't have much depth to it. Then there is John, who she has an enjoyable fling with, and although he treats her right, he is not the one who captures her heart. Only after discovering that she can enjoy her own company and live with or without a man, Amanda meets Grant, the right man for her.

Traveling for Love is an enjoyable feel good story, it is easy to relate to Amanda and the growth and transformation that her life takes after her divorce. Written in a light and fun style, Amanda's journey is filled with self-discovery mixed with some intimate romance scenes that keeps the reader engaged and turning the pages. I really enjoyed following Amanda on her journey, especially how each guy that she dated was in a sense a stepping stone to rediscovering the woman that she always was, only better the second time around.

If you're looking for an enjoyable quick read on a lazy summer day that leave you smiling, then Traveling for Love is the book for you.

Touchable Love by Becky Due was a surprisingly touching and introspective read for me! Honestly, I had expected a somewhat typical love story with run of the mill mishaps and hardships, but found out rather quickly that this book wouldn't be one of "those". The pain these characters go through is very real and very raw. Their ordeals are far more common than we'd like to admit, many of us having gone through these exact same situations ourselves, without fully understanding or dealing with them. Life isn't always peachy, and it's far from perfect! We all go through rough patches, we all make poor decisions at one time or another, and we all need to get over it and make peace with ourselves before the clock runs out!

I would certainly recommend Touchable Love to anyone looking for something genuine and at times, a bit taboo. Becky Due does a wonderful job bringing up topics we don't always care to talk about or even acknowledge, and will cause you to truly stop and think about where you've been and where you're going in this somewhat crazy life we're living. At times the story seems a tad rushed and rough around the edges, but I still say it's a great read!
