Quite an excellent account of the Greats curriculum in Oxford and the self-recognition and legitimation Victorian Oxford men could find in the same-sex leanings of the respectable Ancient Greeks.

One strange thing I find in Oxford, and part of this is related to the nature of my own research, is just how self-celebratory it is. I don't think anybody talks about Ruskin and Pater as much as scholars in the English Faculty here do. I actually feel like somebody has said, "Yo, I heard you like Oxford..."… (altro)
