Mr. Emmett Dodson

I hereby declare my love for Emmett Dodson. With the help of his son he has written a treasure trove of memories called Tennessee Chicken ....it IS a treat in words.
Open and honest he tells us in short stories of his life from the Depression era till now. And a sense of humor? This guy could give us all lessons with his wit...but i don't think he TRIES to be funny....he's just tellin' it like it is!
God help me but the story of the gas station incident gave me a visual that made me have to cross my legs to keep from ruining MY pants.. and.. the pantyhose/Joe Namath one had me laughing out loud so hard that my husband came to check on me.
The world is a better place for having Chick Dodson in it....i wanna be his neighbor so i can go over and listen to some more memories. Ultimately? I do think Karen his wife is waiting over on the other side so that their dance of love will never have to end.… (altro)
