I think there was something to chortle about on every one of the 330 pages. Too much explicit sex and bad language for some readers--most of the plot does go on in a compound owned by a cult who run the "Sextopia" porn site, and most of the characters are porn stars--but very very funny.

One thing not to like: the lost evil twin turns out to be just a Catlyn-Jenner-type male-to-female transsexual trotted out to be flattered, when the only way the character could add anything to the plot would be by turning out to be an alternate personality of the twin who's a main character.

Otherwise, if you don't mind reading about porn stars, their ats and the way they're apt to talk, and don't mind the shaky quality of the science in this fiction, it may be the funniest science fiction in any subgenre since Douglas Adams died.

The Rage Room is gently mocking, uniquely insightful political and social commentary wrapped up in one of the most creative speculative fiction stories I’ve ever read.

This story is a study in contrasts: dark humor and intense misery, absurd and plausible, satirical and serious, bleak and hopeful. Then a twist that gave me a figurative slap, as if to say, “Were you paying attention?”

Lisa de Nikolits has a gift for stripping characters to their core and showing us their truth.

Humanity’s history shows us that we’re great at running full speed toward things we want but terrible about slowing down to avoid future destruction, especially if it means inconveniencing ourselves in the present. The Rage Room’s dystopian take on our (too) near future will leave you with lots to think about, while keeping you thoroughly entertained.

The Rage Room is eerie and creepy and just not quite right. Yet it's so easy to imagine it being part of our (maybe not so distant) future. Add in some time-travel and a group of women determined to save and heal the earth and you have the perfect recipe for a chilling, gripping story that you won't want to put down. A must-read for any fan of the dystopian genre.

When you read a lot, as I do, stories can sometimes bleed into one another, with content feeling too similar and predictable. I wanted to step off the rails into the unexpected, and this book provided exactly that experience in the best way possible.

I'd love to tell you all about this book, but I don't want to spoil any part of the adventure. It's crazy, fun, enlightening, insightful, and poignant. I laughed and cried. I felt it, understood it, related to it. I was inside the story with the characters every step of the way.

This book, and perhaps the author, is a little bit rebellious. It fights the status quo and laughs at itself, all while offering a quietly powerful message on our relationships with each other and with our planet.

I loved everything about this story, the characters, and the writing.
