This is the first book on Christian nonduality I've read, so it took me a bit to get past the sort of Christian infighting in the beginning. But by the middle of the book, he started to explain (as well as it can be explained) what is meant by nonduality, and how he sees it through the lens of his own Christianity.

An interesting perspective of a regular monastic from 17th century France. Translated into modern English, which made it much easier to read than some of the older translated versions.

Interesting interpretation of the Tao Te Ching that attempts to show the universality of spiritual beliefs.

Repetitive but has nuggets of wisdom .

I struggled with how many stars to give. I thought 3 but then again it wasn't a bad booklet and it certainly has some things that are worth hearing. I finally thought 3.5 but went ahead and gave 4. If like me you were born and raised Christian but lost your religion along the way. Then some of this will be boring and sound like the same old religious manipulation. If you are devout then you will find much to love here. However, when I say I left my religion that doesn't mean I've embraced atheism. Quite the contrary. I feel the thoughts here about deep meditative prayer are wonderful. Taking the idea of the Devine seriously and meditating within is (in my opinion) a great idea. To see where it leads. I no longer see God as a manipulative angry old tyrant in the sky. But, I truly have found the practice of the presence of Spirit to be real. Or as I have come to know the practice of the presence of Holy Spirit.
