Very obvious things explained to you as if you were really, really thick. Reminds me of BBC journalism. Oh, wait...

I was rather disappointed in this. It was dull and didn't really go over what I was expecting. It felt unfocused - is it about journalism or public relations or communication? No mention of bot farms. Not recommended I'm afraid.

Davis picks interesting stories, but there is far too much padding in the rest of his book.

I didn't learn much; most of it is obvious stuff that didn't need explicating. The first half is a taxonomy of untruth, with examples, and then some analysis of the post-truth world and how we got here. Davis is an amiable tour guide who offers nothing you can really argue with, or get passionate about. At best it's a guide to classifying which order of bullshit Trump's latest tweet belongs to.
