This is a very odd book. The premise is that little Caroline Kennedy is playing dress-up with the ball gowns of all the first ladies up to and including her mother. There are little poems accompanying each drawing. The drawings look a great deal like Caroline was in those days - in an Eloise Wilkins sort of way.

I have to take on faith that the pictures of the gowns and birth-death dates are accurate. But I did find a really big boo-boo. The little poem about Andrew Jackson begins:
"When Jackson was our President
In eighteen twenty-nine
He was nicknamed "Stonewall"
Because he was so fine."

Ahhh, no. Thomas Jackson was "Stonewall." Andrew was "Old Hickory."… (altro)
