Fated Kisses for the Omega is the second book in the ‘Mountain Springs Omegas’ series. This one stars Andrew, an omega, and Carlos, an Alpha. It’s told in first person from both Andrew and Carlos’ povs.

This book was a freebie on Amazon by a new-to-me author so I decided to give it a try. It was a fast and fluffy read that used a lot of the usual Alpha/omega tropes. Lust at first scent, Fated Mates, Knotting, Mpreg. Even though I didn’t read the first book, I didn’t feel lost, but then this was only the second book in the series. It might grow more difficult to keep track of characters the further one reads in the series because there are twelve books.

What I liked was the author didn’t make the omega, Andrew, a wimpy omega or any of the other omegas introduced weak. Yes, he wanted to have a family eventually, but he’d run away from his pushy family and ex-Alpha who just wanted to force him into a subservient omega role. When he arrived in Mountain Springs, Andrew found a town with respectful Alphas and omegas that could make their own decisions and live their own lives. It seems like this is an alternate Earth because males get pregnant and there aren’t secrets about hiding who they are as a species. There are females in this universe, but no mention of whether they can also get pregnant.

Andrew and Carlos were easy characters to read, nothing outstanding about them, they were just ordinary nice guys. I could believe in them as a couple.

Grammar-wise I noticed there were quite a few missing words and wrong words. Another beta reader would have been helpful.

Overall, Fated Kisses for the Omega was a super quick, cute read that reminds me of a palate cleanser after a more stressful story or if you’re looking for a book where you don’t have to concentrate too hard. I liked this story enough that I would read the other ones in the series. I give this book, 3 Stars.

Starlight Kisses for the Omega is the eleventh book in the ‘Mountain Springs Omegas’ series. The characters are Josh, an omega and event planner, and Ian, an Alpha and musician. This is told in third person from both Josh and Ian’s povs.

2.5 Stars

The premise of this book is basic and follows the same plotline as the other stories I’ve read by this author. Alpha meets omega, instant lust which morphs to love quite fast, and then begging to be knotted and have the Alpha’s baby. There’s nothing different in comparison to the other books in the series. The plot is the same with only the characters and professions changing. If you’re looking for a super quick, fluffy, easy read when you have a few moments to spare, this book works. It’s what I was looking for at the moment so it fit the bill. It’s just the characters and story aren’t memorable, and I won’t read it again.

I give Starlight Kisses for the Omega, 3 Stars because I can’t give half stars and because the story isn’t bad, it’s just average.

Candy Kisses for the Omega is the third book in the ‘Mountain Springs Omegas’ series. It stars Mason, an omega and candy maker, and Devon, an Alpha and I think he’s an investigator. The story is told in first person from both Devon and Mason’s pov.

I read the first two books in the series a while back and this is the same as the others. Same Alpha/omega tropes with mpreg, although this book is about a couple that broke up when they were young. The blurb does a good job explaining what the plot is about so I won’t repeat it.

I remember this couple was hinted at in one of the previous stories so I was curious about how they would get back together. I like the premise of the plot, but the basic Alpha/omega mpreg is predictable. It’s like an M/F story, which makes me wonder if what the author is doing is changing genders to M/M. There’s no world building, never answers the question of since there are female Alphas and male omegas, how do the female Alphas get the males pregnant? This is delving into some big alt world details that the author doesn’t cover. I mean knotting is a big deal when males mate to get pregnant. What do Alpha females do because they are not the ones getting pregnant? I will never get used to the insane idea of birthing a baby out the butt. I think I’ve only read a few authors who made it believable, and the characters were either shifters, or a form of alien birth. I’m not sure why I read mpreg stories because they are too close to M/F and I don’t like M/F books. But I figure it’s because they are usually HEA and are simple to read when I don’t want to read anything complicated.

Anyway, this is a super-fast read with the obligatory sweet HEA. It has the predictable mpreg tropes and the typical M/F tropes mixed in that women seem to like in stories. I just roll my eyes instead. Candy Kisses for the Omega served its purpose of giving me something Valentine centered without it being full of angst. If you’re looking for that kind of story, then you might enjoy this book. Don’t expect a lot, because there isn’t much to it. I give this book, 3 Stars

Clover Kisses for the Omega is the fourth book in the ‘Mountain Springs Omegas’ series. It stars Sean a pregnant omega, and Russell a lawyer. This is told in first person through both Sean and Russell’s povs.

The blurb does a good job of explaining the plot so I won’t go into it much. Sean is raped and gets pregnant at a frat party as do many other virgin omegas. This is something the frat Alphas have been doing for a while, but no one has stood up to them except Sean. Sean goes to the law office where Russell works and they take on his case. Sean and Russell are fated mates and try to resist each other because Russell is working on the case and Sean doesn’t want the defense team to use his attraction for Russell to ruin Sean’s case.

I like the first half of the plot with the idea of a strong omega and that he was going to pursue his case to send the Alpha who raped him to prison and make sure he could never see the baby. Sean was strong, that is he was until he and Russell met in the park, and after that it was all downhill. Sean turned into a needy omega that all he wanted was to mate and have babies. Immediately the story flipped into M/F trope mode with the kinks for ‘knotting, breeding, and babies.’ I really think this author’s book are veiled M/F using M/M instead. So why I ask myself, do I read mpreg? I have absolutely no idea! I don’t like kids in stories, I don’t like pregnancy stories, especially with males giving birth out their butts, and no explanation how female Alphas get omegas pregnant. I think the things that attract me in this author’s case, the books are very short, have a HEA, and often are themed to a holiday. Also, they’re easy to read when I don’t have a lot of spare time and don’t want to read an angsty novel.

Sean and Russell are okay. Same predictable personality formula as in the other books in the series. Characters from previous books make an appearance.

The ending was extremely abrupt and I didn’t like how it was executed.

I would’ve given a higher star rating if the author had continued with a more in-depth mystery the book started with, and didn’t fall into the ‘get me pregnant!’ trope. The book was free, so I guess I shouldn’t complain too much. But be aware that if you read this author’s stories, the mpreg is really disguised M/F and not M/M. I give Clover Kisses for the Omega, 3 Stars because the first half I liked.
