Hope on the Hill: The First Century of Seattle… di Walt Crowley
Having been a patient at Children's Hospital throughout my childhood (I was born with Amniotic Band Syndrome, which required numerous surgeries), it was neat to read this book. The hospital has a long history in Seattle and I feel honored to have been a part of it. I am especially thankful that they treat patients whether the parents can afford the care or not, which, in my parents' case, they could not.
This is a comprehensive and helpful guide to a wonderful city. Like the other National Trust guides, it is terrific for architecture buffs and history fans. I only wish we had been in Seattle long enough to take full advantage of this book! Maybe next year ---
