I think that this is comparative mythology 101. On each of six basic topics, the author briefly demonstrates the similarities among different cultures around the world. This small book is a teaser, inviting readers to look further into the oral traditions of many cultures and recognize those similarities. This is not a book for scholars but for the rest of us who really didn't know that there is such similarity of thought on the topics covered whether in Asia, North or South America, Europe, or African nations. It's a great stimulus to further personal investigation!
