The only way to learn medical physiology. The chapters are long and dense -- there is no fluff here -- but the diagrams are fantastic and often self-explanatory. Costanzo also uses lots of "clinical vignette" sidebars, which simultaneously check one's understanding of the material and act as preparation for United States Medical Licensing Exam.

If you want to learn physio and learn it well -- buy Costanzo. (She also wrote a book in the Board Review Series, which I believe is a scaled down version of this one.)… (altro)
