This book is about a boy named Spence who does not want to be himself anymore so he dresses up as someone else. His mother does the same and eventually they both miss each other and their real selves.

This book is a good children's book because it shows the cause and effect of how Spence gets into a mess with the glue and scissors. It also teaches children independence.
