Lord Edward Cecil (1867–1918)

What a charmer, both book and Author. Witty and weird his portrayal of every-day work and life in the Foreign Service is hilarious. A little 'dated' and certainly not "Politically Correct" but with a charm that is sincerely supportive of the efforts of the British Raj to improve Egyptian life.

His own was cut short by that slayer of many great minds, "The Great Influenza" or we might be enjoying more humours but slightly educational tales from this diplomatic life.
