Oh Cassandra what have you written for me? I started this book one night and couldn’t put it down. I was so hooked, so addicted to the story, and so invested in the characters. I kept sneaking away, looking for a few spare moments and reading whatever I could in whatever time I had.

Into the Darkest Night is the start of a new series, Chaos Theory Duet, and I am hooked. I love Levi and Ana. The horror that they have lived through in their young lives and the strength they have shown while working through it is phenomenal. It was wonderful that even though they knew of each other before their lives were changed they came together after having such similar experiences. They challenged each other, protected each other, and fought for each other.

The ending… oh man. It is quite the ending. I can’t say I was surprised, I saw it coming but Cassandra did an amazing job leaving the reader wanting more. This is a series that I can’t wait to read more of. I recommend getting your own copy ASAP.

This is a new genre for me. It took me a little longer to read than most books, most likely because of the genre. It took me a little while to get into the book, as it does any new genre.

The book is set in the future with the fall of government. War continues to wage on. People are struggling to maintain lives. Beliefs are questioned.

The story between Kate and Hunter is like a futuristic Romeo and Juliet story. Their families are enemies. They shouldn't even be friends, let alone fall in love with one another.

The background of this story is so unique. The world in upheaval in the future. Tribes existing within only their own tribes. The societies have almost gone back to Indian-like times. The men are the head and are the providers. The women are just to obey.

I really enjoyed this book. It is well-written. I thought I would have a hard time following it, but that wasn't the case. It was captivating and intense. I would recommend this book to just about anyone.

I have been anxiously awaiting reading Faded Perfection since I read Flawed Perfection back on February 25, 2014. I was not disappointed. Grant it, I was saddened by a lot of the events that took place. I really like both Adam Beckerson and River Ahlers. My heart broke for them in the first book. I want to see them both happy. They are both struggling with Bobby Beckerson’s death in this story; both dealing with his death in different ways. The pain they both suffered is heartrending.

I really love River. She buries herself in her career. She doesn’t have many friends and losses the ones she has after Bobby’s death. I was extremely disappointed in Tara. I feel like River was there for her when she was in the hospital, and she let her down. Unfortunately, things like that happen in real life, making the story more credible.

I love River’s boss, Jesse. He is a wonderful mentor and friend. I appreciate how he looks out for her. I thought it was great that he got her to use her photography outside her job with him and get to meet some other people.

I liked the introduction of West Brighton character. He is good for River, recognizing a kindred spirit. I’m an animal lover, so I enjoyed the beagles.

I was disappointed by both Adam’s and River’s moms in this story. I don’t understand how they could be the way they were with their children. I did respect both fathers, especially River’s dad.

Cassandra Giovanni does an amazing job creating a believable and heartfelt story. Not everything is perfect. The characters have major obstacles they need to overcome. Faded Perfection is extremely well-written. I am highly anticipating book three Finding Perfection (Beautifully Flawed, #3).

Complimentary copy provided in exchange for an honest review.
