Bloodline Book Two: Reckoning di Kate Cary

Once I finished Bloodline, I had to run out and get this 2nd book in the series. I prepared myself to be disappointed, since sequels are often lackluster, but I was not. This book was just as good as the second. Both books in the series could be twice as long. Reading a long you can just taste the sections of the book where the author could have expanded things. This series is a nice departure from all of the sex laden adult vampire novels out there. If you're looking for a nice, simple vampire story, check it out.… (altro)

Bloodline (Bloodline (Paperback)) di Kate Cary

This is a young adult novel, but it combines two of my favorite subjects--vampires & World War I. That's why I started reading this novel at work one day (I work in a bookstore...dangerous!), but kept on reading because the story was interesting enough. Once you realize that some of the characters are the children of the characters in Bram Stoker's classic, curiosity will keep you reading!

In this story told primarily through journal entries, a British soldier in World War I makes the horrifying discovery that his regiment commander is descended from Count Dracula.

Bloodline di Kate Cary

It captured me from the beginning. Although it was not quite as fast reading and exciting as some other books I read, I enjoyed the historic period it took place as well as the more sophisticated English. It moved in a nice pace and I look forward to the next book.
