Too small. The spine of the tight binding gets in the way.
Definitely pocket sized. Good for sticking in the bottom of a briefcase, or in a backpack pocket, both of which I have done. Very readable for its size. Even better that I found it on sale at one of those remainder type outlet bookshops that now seem to be disappearing more and more. If you are after a small paper atlas, this one is pretty good.
A good street map to Edinburgh. I used it many times in driving around the city.
