- The late Norman S. Care was a professor of philosophy at Oberlin College. He was educated in music at Indiana University and in philosophy at the University of Kansas, Yale University, and Oxford University. His areas of interest in teaching and writing were moral theory, moral psychology, political philosophy, environmental ethics, medical ethics, and aesthetics. He co-edited a number of collections, published essays in journals in philosophy, law, and education and in magazines of social comment. [adapted from Before Forgiving, ed. Sharon Lamb and Jeffrie G.
