This book is a book about a monkey who gets stung on the tail by a bee. He is running through the jungle and creating quite a stir. All the animals he meets think that there is a hunter after them and they take off running after the monkey. Eight parrots, nine giraffes, and ten tigers all follow the monkey saying danger, danger, danger till they reach the river and the monkey stops to soak his sore tail. He laughs at the other animals who are quite angry with him. A suprise ending comes with the monkey being stung on the tail again.

I thought this was a very cute and entertaining book. The pictures are colorful and the poetry makes the book flow well. I believe this would fall under the category of lyric poems because of it's songlike properties.

This would be a good book for young children to learn to count. The animals keep increasing as the story progresses.… (altro)
