This book is a modern fantasy book about a grandmother who travels very far by singing to the geographic features who then help her get to her grandson. After finally traveling over the many features the grandmother reachers her grandson and begins to play bluegrass music for him. The grandmother and Owen, her grandson, dance to the music together.

This story is linked with a song, one that directly coincides with what happened throughout the book. Its about a little boy who's grandmother is coming and he is wondering how she gets to his door.

Since I enjoy tall tales and have a secret wish to learn the banjo, I enjoyed this book and it beautiful illustrations.

This story is about a granny who crosses a river, mountains, and a desert to see her grandbaby.
