- Breve biografia
- Josette Bruce, née Josépha Pyrzbil, was born in Poland. She met her future husband, Jean Bruce, on a train in 1946. Three years after his death in a car accident in 1963, his publisher asked her to continue her husband's series of OSS 117 novels featuring secret agent Hubert Bonisseur de La Bath.
She wrote 143 new titles and published the last one, Anathème à Athènes, in 1985. The series was then taken over by her daughter Martine Bruce and stepson François Bruce.
Josette Bruce also wrote independent mystery and detective novels, and directed the Sélection Bruce collection from Presses de la Cité. She remarried to Pierre Dourne, a family friend. - Nota di disambiguazione
