An excellent resource with recipes for delicious meals. The directions are clear and easy to follow. The ingredients used are common in most supermarkets. I especially liked this, as I have other books which treat vegetarian shopping like a scavenger hunt. I especially liked "Cheese and Lentil Loaf", a comfort food dish even meat eaters will enjoy.
Just picked up at the local St Vinnies so not yet read
I have the British edition of this book, which I understand might be slight different from the American version?
Sarah Brown apparently has a television show in Britain, which I've never seen. I picked up this impulse book at a used book store and it became one of my foundation cookbooks when I was vegetarian.
With lush color pictures, clear instructions and all ingredients presented in a clear consise manner in the sidebar, the recipes flow easily from the page to your oven.
Sometimes there were a few quirks such as the metric conversion or the word aubergine (eggplant), but overall, I found this book timeless and wonderful with a flavorful mix of ingredients. I have purchased this book for a vegetarian in-law, and they became a convert to Sarah Brown's cookbook too.
