The second book in the Legend of the Golden Feather starts off right where book one left off with its huge cliff-hanger.I don't recall reading a book that had me laughing out loud so much. By no fault of their own, Jake and Wiley get themselves, along with their "protectors" mixed up with several shady characters who either want them both dead, want to steal their gold or just want them ;)Another great read by Dave Brown. The first book in the Legend of the Golden Feather series is a wonderful light-hearted western set in the late 1880's Rockies.With plenty of adventure, mystery, new friendships and loves, it kept me up late not wanting to put the book down.With the cliff-hanger ending I was very glad I purchased the set from the authors website.If you don't mind a little indian lore or fantasy mixed in with your western, the guy getting the guy (instead of the girl) and just a touch of environmental preaching sprinkled in, then give Bristlecone Peak a read, you won't regret it.… (altro)
