Sassy Pants is a cute little pink pig with some life lesson adventures. Never a dull moment in Sassy' s days. In this book, she starts off on a mission to set things right with Boss Hog, after getting in a bit of trouble, I presume, in a previous book.
But Sassy, as most young pigs with alot on their minds, often gets distracted, and soon forgets all about her making-amends mission. Instead, her stomach takes control and she heads off looking for some yummy grub.

In a different pasture, Sassy Pants meets a strange new creature. Sassy, once again, has a change of plans when this new creature demonstrates his spitting talent. Sassy meets several strangers that day, and must decide if they are good strangers or dangerous ones. In the end, she learns a valuable lesson about trust and friendship.

I enjoyed this book, and can't wait to share it with my elementary age daughter. It was written in a simple easy to read manner, with the exception of several Spanish words interspersed. Those don't take away from the story, instead they add character, but certainly make it a little more difficult for a younger child to read. This book contains several valuable lessons, a great cast of barnyard characters, and a wise old horse to help with the teaching. Sassy Pants is very happy on the farm, and wishes to remain there for a long time.

I thought this book was great for kids and loved the message behind it. The illustrations were beautifully done and spot on with what each character looks like in the mind of a child. Sassy Pants is a very cute character that is learning to make amends for not listening in the past. He meets some new and different creatures on Farmer White's Farm. She was a runt that was raised in the house like a family member and is trying to get acclimated to the pigpen. But alas he has a lot to learn. Old Clyde tells Sassy Pants about a strange new creature and she has to go see for herself. Is this creature good strange or dangerous? She finds that it is a llama and is a good strange and wants to help. Then she meets another strange creature that no one wants to get to know because he stinks. Yuck! Sassy Pants gets to know Winchester the English Bulldog and realizes that he is a good strange and great to talk too. Winchester teaches Sassy Pants that rules are for our protection not to hurt us.
Throughout this book there are great learning experiences that can be discussed and taught to our kids. When we help each other everyone wins.

This is a great story about a curious little pig named SassyPants. She lives on a farm and begins to wonder what job she doesto be able to stay there. SassyPants encounters many stranger creatures that teach her valuable lessons. The animals on the farm all are friendly and willing to talk to SassyPants. She visits each new animal and learns valuable things that will help her to be more confident and care about others.

I loved the animals and their unique charm and humor. The book is a great tool for young children to learn about good qualities to have and how to be a faithful friend. The illustrations were beautiful and fit perfectly with the story. You can't help but love SassyPants and her great adventures on the farm.

Carol Brown's personal account of being created a burden bearer, gives us a more clear awareness of what this is about, and the impact this has had on her life and others around her.

In the companion books,"The Mystery of Spiritual Sensitivity" and "Highly Sensitive: Understanding Your Gift of Spiritual Sensitivity", Carol speaks to us with insight, gentle encouragement and humor. Her biblical foundation, prayer guidance and guidelines for understanding and implementing this God given gift, are invaluable and life giving. Carol has done much to take the mystery of God's creative power, in this area, and remove the veil for us. I am grateful to her for this gift, expecially in these times of confusion and uncertainty.
