Jim Bridwell (1944–2018)

James Bridwell was born in San Antonio, Texas on July 29, 1944. He began mountaineering around 1965 and became known as a climber who took daring routes up mountains in Alaska, the Andes, and Yosemite National Park. He co-wrote a book with Keith Peall entitled Climbing Adventures: A Climber's mostra altro Passion, which was published in 1992. Bridwell also wrote for magazines and worked as a stunt rigger on several movies. He died from kidney failure and hepatitis C on February 16, 2018 at the age of 73.
