I was already predisposed to buy this book because I had bought his paperback on the IAR.80/81 published in 2010. As good as it is, at 128 pages, compared to this book it's like comparing a tricycle to a Ferrari. In terms of technical descriptions and illustrations? This book should be referred to as a gold standard for anyone interested in writing about and illustrating the technical aspects of an aircraft. (If your familiar with the "Naval Fighter" series by Ginter, imagine the technical section on super steroids with color and devoid of unit histories.) Caution: There are no unit or operational histories in this book. It is essentially technical with some development history and a bit about flight testing. However, all is not completely lost, there are little operational/history tidbits spread throughout the book in the photo captions. Should Mr. Brînzan decide to write a volume II covering operational use, it would make for the ultimate two volume library. It's impossible not to get the feeling that this is a true labor of love for the author. I am very pleased with this purchase. Highly recommended for modelers and those with an interest in the manufacturing and technical aspects of WWII aircraft.… (altro)
