From Booklist
This much-needed resource for librarians in both the public and school environment provides insight as to why teens gravitate to the Internet and which sites are their favorites. It explains, for example, why teens use such sites as Ask Jeeves and Yahoo! rather than accessing subscription online databases such as Newsfile or EBSCOHOST or search engines such as AltaVista or Google. The book offers the clueless as well as the knowledgeable librarian steps to take in developing library Web sites for teens and designing and maintaining these sites. An index of 46 URLs, as well as a subject index, completes the volume. Detailed descriptions of the cited Web resources are included. A must-read for all librarians who work with teenagers.
