I read amost half of this before giving up. Much of what she says is interesting, but I think she blows things up too much. Every little (pre)historic detail is made to have enormous metaphysical significance centuries or even milleniums after anyone who was involved is dead and forgotten. Even is some of these meanings have somehow survived, they can't all be right at the same time, and certainly not for every transaction involving money.
